Tammy Melton

Tammy Melton, LPC
After years of Pastoral Counseling, Tammy Melton received her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2014 and is now a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of GA. Tammy has a heart to help people who have experienced trauma to be healed from the inside out. She has a unique way of bringing in Christian principles into her professional counseling techniques. As a minister (ordained with Harvest Network, International) and a pastor’s daughter, she also has a desire to provide a safe, confidential place for ministers and their families to go for counseling.

Besides offering sessions for individuals, Tammy also has experience with pre-marital and marital counseling as well as family sessions. While she mostly counsels from a Cognitive Behavioral approach, she also uses interventions from other therapies depending on individual client needs. Specialties include: Inner Healing Prayer, EMDR, anger management, conflict resolution, grief, and art therapy.

Tammy has been happily married to Bill Melton, retired band director, since 1986. Tammy and Bill have two adult daughters: Amy, married to Graham Waters, and Amber married to Jacob Barry. The Meltons are long-time members of Trinity Church in Sharpsburg. Tammy also started Legacy Ministries for Christ, Inc in 2003. LM is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a welcoming space where believers from all denominations can come together in fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual growth. Their heart is to equip the Body of Christ to live out the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19—to go and make disciples. For more information, go to www.legacyministries.info.
