Gabriella Diaz, BSN, LAPC
Gabriella Diaz BSN, LAPC obtained her counseling degree from Liberty University. After 22 years of nursing experience, Gabriella turned her focus to mental health care. Her undergraduate work was completed at Grand Canyon University, and she obtained a Degree in Biblical Studies from Southwest Bible School and Seminary as well as participated in advanced discipleship training. She subscribes to a Christian worldview integrating Biblical principles into empirically sound counseling services.
Gabriella’s primary counseling modalities include Inner Healing Prayer with an Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspective. She provides Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Informed Therapy (CBT) from a Biblical, grace-based perspective. She recently completed basic Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) training and is currently providing these services. Premarital counseling (SYMBIS), and couples counseling using the Gottman Method and a Hope-Focused approach is also offered as therapy choices. Gabriella is under the supervision of Noelle Porter LPC, CPCS. She endeavors to provide a personalized and integrative approach for each client.
Previous experience includes: 15 years of clinical trials research with five years at the National Institutes of Health (NIAID/NIH). She completed an internship at Out of Darkness a division of Frontline Response an organization that fights sex trafficking in Atlanta, Georgia. Served as a Mission’s Director while living in Virginia and a small group leader in Phoenix, Arizona. Gabriella offers a sliding scale for payment as it is her heart to provide affordable counseling, supporting the marginalized.
